Rowing technique workshop

Small group sessions

Rowing is an incredibly effective way to improve your overall fitness, but it’s also a skill that requires a lot of technique and practice to master. That’s why CrossFit Shropshire is offering you a small group indoor rowing class. Limited to just four people, it will help you improve your fitness and become more efficient in your rowing technique.

Our coach Becca spent 4 years on the GB Rowing Team and is a World Silver Medalist. She will be passing on her experience and expertise to you to help improve your rowing.

One of the biggest benefits of the CrossFit Shropshire rowing class is that it can help you improve your overall fitness level. Rowing is a full-body workout that engages your legs, core, and upper body, making it an incredibly effective way to burn calories and build strength. And because it’s a low-impact exercise, rowing is also a great option for you if want to improve your fitness without putting too much stress on your joints.

What you’ll learn

In order to get the most out of your rowing workout, it’s important to develop good technique. Rowing may seem like a simple exercise – after all, you’re just pulling a handle back and forth – but there’s actually a lot more technique involved than you might think! If you’re not using the correct form, you could be putting unnecessary strain on your back, arms, or legs, which can lead to injury or reduce the effectiveness of your workout.

That’s where the small group rowing class at CrossFit Shropshire comes in. Our experienced coach Becca will work with you in a small group setting to help you develop proper rowing technique. This includes everything from how to hold the handle, to the correct posture and body position, to the most efficient way to use your legs and arms to power through each stroke.

Indoor rowing is a fantastic way to train your strength and endurance

By improving your technique, you’ll not only reduce your risk of injury but also increase the effectiveness of your workout. You’ll be able to row more efficiently, using less energy to achieve the same amount of work. This means you’ll be able to row for longer periods of time or at higher intensities.

Additional benefits

In addition to the physical benefits of improved technique, there are also a number of mental benefits to rowing. Rowing is a rhythmic exercise that requires focus and concentration. This can be incredibly meditative and calming. It’s also a great way to build mental toughness and resilience, as you push yourself to keep going even when you’re tired or uncomfortable.

At CrossFit Shropshire, our rowing class is designed to help you unlock all of these benefits by incorporating skill work into each session. This means that you’ll not only be getting a great workout, but you’ll also be learning and practicing new skills that will help you become a better rower over time.
