Me Time

What is me time?

Me Time can be described as the time a person has to himself or herself, in which to do something for his or her own personal enjoyment. But it is deeper than that! It is a time to improve yourself and get treated with high quality services at the same time.

CrossFit Shropshire is a place where our coaches and clients value Me Time. Our coaches look after our clients so that every visit to the gym is special.

Our gym is full of like-minded mums looking for me time. Mums that have worked hard for a few years and now the kids are in school. So they can spend a few quality hours a week getting back into fitness.

How do you get Me Time?

The realistic point of me time is when your schedule is at its busiest you need me time the most! But in reality, people wait until their kids are a little older and are in school. However there is no time like the present to squeeze some me time into your schedule.

Firstly take 5 minutes and sit down in your favourite chair and read a book. Have a coffee or look at some Instagram reel. Do what makes you happy, this is a quick mental me time. If you have longer than 5 minutes, try to get out for a walk or run.

How we can help you

The best way is to come to CrossFit Shropshire for fitness coaching. Your coach will spend all of their attention on you and you will get the best workout you can have. Also this will be done in the most time-efficient way, so you will get the best return on your time spent on you!

Do not feel guilty spending time and money on yourself, me time is actually going to help your family. As a parent you fly the plane that is your family. If the pilot is ill then the plane won’t be able to fly! So spending time on yourself will actually help you to look after your family more.

Me time can also include engaging in physical activity or exercise. For many people, working out is a form of self-care, and a great way to clear the mind, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

Physical benefits

Physical activity can also have many positive effects on the body. Regular exercise can help improve cardiovascular health, increase muscle strength, and boost mood. It can also aid in weight management, and can even help to prevent chronic diseases.

Many people find that working out is a great way to take a break from their daily routine and focus on themselves. Whether it’s going for a run, hitting the gym, or taking a yoga class, exercise can be a great way to clear the mind and find some peace.

Fitness as me time can also be a great opportunity to challenge yourself. Setting and reaching fitness goals can be a great way to boost self-confidence and self-esteem.

Additionally, group fitness classes or workouts with friends can be a great way to combine the benefits of me time with the added motivation and accountability of working out with others.

It’s important to find an activity that you enjoy and that fits into your schedule and lifestyle. Me time doesn’t have to be a set amount of time or specific activity, it’s about finding what works for you and what makes you feel good.

Incorporating physical activity into your me-time routine can have numerous benefits for both your physical and mental well-being. So, whether it’s hitting the gym, going for a run or taking a yoga class, make sure to include fitness in your me-time schedule and see the positive changes in yourself.
